Key Projects - Field Research
Dinnington Roman Villa, Dinnington,Somerset: Site Supervisor, responsible for logistics and site management of a six week undergraduate training excavation for The University of Winchester.

The Southern Quantocks Archaeological Survey: Volis Hills (2002) & Yarford (2003-2005), Somerset: Supervising and managing a six week undergraduate training excavation and research project over four seasons for The University of Winchester. In 2002, excavation a Bronze Age settlement site and from 2003 excavating an Iron Age enclosure and associated Roman Villa.

Butrint Project, Diaporit, Albania: Excavation and site recording of a Late Antique - Roman villa complex for a 6 week period for The Institute of World Archaeology, University of East Anglia.

The Clarendon Landscape Project: Sustained involvement in a five year English Heritage funded Conservation Project. Recording graffiti on a post-medieval structure removed to restore the medieval fabric of the palace and overseeing the work of undergraduate students. Fieldwalking and teaching surveying (level & theodolite) and site recording techniques. Standing building survey and production of the accompanying digital photographic record and archive in advance of publication of the work undertaken on the Clarendon Estate.Geophysical survey (using Fluxgate Gradiometer magnetometer)

Oram's Arbour, Winchester, Hampshire: Supervising 6 week undergraduate training excavation and community project for King Alfred's University College and Winchester Museums Service. The Iron Age enclosure was situated in a public park, resulting in a requirement for organising tours at a series of open days and explaining the archaeology to interested members of the public.

Key Projects - Desk Based
Winchester Deposits Project: Responsible for the research element of a collaborative project to create a deposit model for stratigraphy in Winchester. For The University of Winchester and Winchester Museum Service.

Recent Erosion of Archaeological Sites (REAS): An English Heritage funded project to establish the erosive effects of agriculture on archaeological sites, continuing the work of the MARS survey and testing the applicability of the 137Cs dating technique. For King Alfred’s University College and The University of Stirling.

Key Projects - Commercial (Field)
Bletchingly, Surrey (Mesolithic Hollow): Supervising students and volunteers for two months on a large scale English Heritage funded commercial excavation project for Surrey County Archaeology Unit (SCAU).

Black Horse Farm. Sawtry, Cambridgeshire: Co-directing 3 month excavation of an Iron Age settlement site.

Road Corridor, Cedars Park, Stowmarket : Directing two week evaluation of medieval remains in advance of residential development.

Carrickmines Castle, Co. Dublin: Excavation of a 6 hectare site for the second year of a two year project. Excavation monitoring and supervising and post excavation planning in advance of the M50 road extension around Dublin.
